Partnership Agreement Signed Between the Muhanna Foundation and the Institute of Banking Studies (IBS) – Jordan.
In line with its mission to build actuarial and insurance capacities across the Arab region, the Muhanna Foundation has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Institute of Banking Studies – Jordan, a nationally recognized leader in banking and financial training.
This partnership marks the launch of a specialized professional certificate in actuarial science — the first of its kind in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The agreement was signed in Amman by Actuary Mr. Ibrahim Muhanna, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Dr. Riyad Al-Hindawi, Director of the Institute of Banking Studies – Jordan.
This strategic collaboration stems from a joint commitment to strengthening sectors regulated by the Central Bank of Jordan — particularly the insurance industry, which serves as a cornerstone of economic and financial stability. The partnership follows a comprehensive training needs assessment conducted by the Institute, which highlighted a significant shortage of qualified actuarial professionals in the local market.
Through this agreement, the Actuarial Practicing Certificate (APC) will be offered exclusively through the Institute of Banking Studies – Jordan. Developed by The Muhanna Foundation, the program includes 166 hours of intensive training, equipping participants with practical actuarial skills aligned with modern international standards. The goal is to build actuarial capacity within the insurance sector and foster long-term institutional sustainability.
The launch date and enrollment details will be announced soon. The program will be open to professionals from insurance companies, financial institutions, and other related sectors seeking to advance their technical expertise.
