Description
Further to the endorsement of the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, the Muhanna Foundation & the American University of Beirut (AUB) launched the Executive Municipal Education Program (EMEP) and the Municipal Education Program (MEP)after the completion of 2016’s municipal elections with the objective of building the capacities of Municipal Presidents and Vice-Presidents as well as women who are active in the civil society and on the municipal level.
Our aim is to develop and transform the municipal sector in Lebanon; enabling it to take its place in supporting the national government through the transfer of knowledge and experience related to the managerial, financial, developmental and legal aspects of the municipal work. Providing them with all the tools, skills and techniques needed to take the right decision by discussing the current situation and challenges that are facing our community.
EMEP is customized specifically for mayors and is composed of the following four modules for a total of 17 hours of training: Municipal Governance and Sustainable Development includes the collaboration with the civil society and the private sector to create a better community and to transform the municipality into a smart city by investing in developmental projects and attracting donors. Financial and purchasing Management, the relationship of the municipality with auditing agencies.
And finally selected topics in management including but not limited to waste management, emotional intelligence, and leadership and communication skills.

This module offers selected topics in management including but not limited to waste management, emotional intelligence, and leadership and communication skills.
This course is intended to explain the development and care of the body ranging from simple calisthenic exercises to yoga and breathing.
