Description

The Muhanna Foundation was created in 1994, in order to provide actuarial education in the Middle East and East Africa. Furthermore, the foundation expanded it’s training programs to municipal and social insurance education.

For the past two decades, the foundation has been providing its long – standing Actuarial Diploma Program, in addition to preparation courses for the SOA exams, and customized actuarial programs specific to the needs and growing demand of institutions and individuals.

In its commitment to education, the Muhanna Foundation provides Awards and Scholarships in the fields of Actuarial Science and Mathematics to students who are completing actuarial education in several countries, namely, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania and Yemen.

The Foundation operates as an official examination center for actuarial students sitting for professional exams of the Society of Actuaries (United States Actuarial System) and the exams of the Institute of Actuaries (United Kingdom Actuarial System).

Fees: USD 800 per module, it includes: 25 hours of training divided with one exam at the end of each module, Certificate of completion from the Muhanna Foundation, Training material, books and case studies, and the use of training facilities and support services.

There are written exams for each subject after the material is provided. All modules are required to complete the Diploma program. Students will be eligible for the Certificate in Actuarial Science if 5 modules are successfully passed. The Diploma is primarily intended for graduates with a good first degree (usually in mathematics, statistics or economics although other subjects with a mathematical content are acceptable). A prior knowledge of statistics, economics or finance is not required for this course but would increase the opportunity of benefiting from this program.
