The Muhanna Foundation in collaboration with i.e. Muhanna & co. is offering a 12 week Prep Course that will prepare students to understand the material covered in SOA Exam P and to pass the exam on the first try.

Date / Time / Location:

The course will take place on Fridays, starting the 2nd of August until the 18th of October 2019 between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM at The Muhanna Foundation’s premises in Ras Beirut – a few steps from AUB Medical Gate.

Who should attend: Actuarial students (Bachelors and Masters) AND young working actuaries who are serious about passing the Society of Actuaries Exams

Registration fees:

  • Current Students: USD 300
  • Early Career Actuaries – Early Bird Registration ( June 13 – July 22): USD 400
  • Early Career Actuaries – Late Registration (July 22 – 31): USD 600

Who is your instructor:

Mr. Michael Muhanna, ASA helps lead the actuarial team at i.e. Muhanna & Co – a premier actuarial & management consulting firm based in Beirut that had served organizations across the Middle East & East Africa for the past 30+ years. Michael’s work focuses primarily on insurance and healthcare services. He also serves as the Executive Director of the company’s non-profit and educational arm, The Muhanna Foundation.  Prior to moving back to Beirut, Michael worked as a quantitative analyst in the Portfolio Solutions Group at Morgan Stanley in New York City where his team managed roughly $5.5 billion in institutional clients’ assets and invested them across the multi-alternative investment universe. Michael spent the early part of his career working for Aon Benfield in their headquarters in Chicago – focusing primarily on reinsurance pricing, and later for PricewaterhouseCoopers at their headquarters in New York City, as part of the Actuarial Insurance Management Solutions practice – focusing on reserving and ERM for multinational P&C insurers.  Michael is a graduate of Duke University (BS Economics 2007), is a Teach For America Fellow (2009) and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (USA)
